The breastplate of righteousness won for me in your great victory on the cross. Your faithful act of love, given as a gift of grace to me.

I put on the shoes of the gospel of peace, the hope of the coming Kingdom. Coming fully in the age to come, and I pray for the full portion in my marriage, my family, my work, my kingdom, and the remainder of my life in this age.

I put on the helmet of salvation, that you who began a good work in me are faithful to bring it to completion. That you work all things together for good for those who love you, saving us to life, even through death.

I take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Faith in your goodness and love; that you are for me and not against me, that you know the plans you have for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future, and that if we delight ourselves in you, you give us the desires of our heart.

And I take the sword of the spirit which is the word of God, and I choose to be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of your might, to pray at all times in the Spirit.
